IT ALL STARTED...

... on the 30th of November, 1993.
In his early childhood his parents sang with him daily.  Raised in a home that encouraged him to sing, at the age of nine, he went on to sing professionally as a boy soprano in The Royal Chapel Choir of Denmark.  He began his musical studies and continued at the high school of Skt. Annæ Gymnasium in Copenhagen.  Jonathan graduated in 2013 with with focus in Music and Mathematics.

In summer 2019 he earned his Master's Degree at The Danish National Academy of Music, Odense under the guidance of the internationally renown tenor, Reinaldo Macias. After has he studied with adjunkt and tenor Jack Li Vigni, the famous teacher that is behind some of the world’s leading singers and is currently based at Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia.

Jonathan was employed as an assistant choir singer at The  Danish National Opera Choir of Aarhus in his first year of study.  Since then he has sung the roles of:  Leander from Carl Nielsen's opera Maskarade, Count Tassilo in Gräfin Mariza by Emmerich Kálmán, St. Brioche in Die Lustige Witwe by F. Lehár, Spoletta from Tosca by G. Puccini, Prince Yamadori from Madama Butterfly, The Hussar from Mavra by I. Stravinsky , Caramello from Ein Nacht in Venedig by J. Strausss II, Don Ottavio in W.A. Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Tamino in W.A. Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at Berlin Opernfest. His debut at The Royal Theater of Copenhagen was with Mehrdad in A. M. Tafreshipour’s modern opera The Doll Behind the Curtain.

As a professional Danish church singer, he has performed as a soloist in the following: J.S. Bach's Weinachtoratorium and Mattheus Passion, G.F. Händel's Handel's Messiah, W.A. Mozart Krönungsmesse and G. Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle.

Jonathan volunteered as a representative of his fellow students at the academy in Odense. Together with a group of students, he initiated The Counsel of Students, where afterwards he became a board member of The Counsel of Danish Music Academies.  The counsel has national cooperation with politicians and with the administration of all the Danish music academies.
